Live, you just need to save those extensions to your harddisk once.

How to use the
Extensions:
When you shutdown Muppy the first time, it offers you an opportunity to
create a save file.
Using a special technique (Unionfs), everything - all settings and new
programs - is stored in only one file called msy_save.2fs.
This way you can use Muppy without partitioning your hard disk - use
everything as it was already set up by Windows!
You still can use an existing Windows installation as usual.
After this save file has been created, you just need to download an
extension (with the suffix .sfs) to the main folder of the same hard
disk.
If your save-file was created on your Windows drive C:\ , then save for
example C:\addons-US_083.sfs.
When you restart Muppy now, the "boot manager" will ask about the
extensions.
Here you can choose which of the downloaded extensions should be used.
They are then included automatically after the next reboot.
You cannot use more than 3 extensions at the same time.
If you need more, you can merge them into a single new extension using
the included SFS-Combiner.
The SFS-Combiner needs a Linux-partition temporarily to create the new
extension.
This also can be on a USB-Stick.
SWAP-Partition
Muppy is a Linux-System.
If it runs out of free memory, it might freeze.
Then you would have to switch the computer off and on again.
To avoid this, you might need a swap-partition.
Use the included "gparted", to decrease the size of an existing Windows
partition.
First, you should defrag it in Windows.
Then run Muppy directly from CD, to be sure that it does not use that
partition to store files.
At the boot-prompt, enter:
puppy pfix=ram
In the menu choose: "System - gparted".
Decrease the last of the listed partitions by 256 MB and click on
"apply".
Reboot Muppy.
